Josie developed a taste for photography while travelling around Ecuador, returning home to specialize in the medium as part of her BA (Hons) degree at university. Now the Reviews Editor for Digital Photographer, Josie handles all of the latest camera launches and boasts an in-depth knowledge of all things camera-related.

As the senior sub editor on Digital Camera Essentials (along with its sister title, Digital Photographer magazine), Lesley has developed an interest in images and photography. Combined with a love of writing and language, she enjoys writing occasional reviews of our latest cameras.

Rosie’s big passion is travel photography, with a love of capturing different cultures on camera, from scenery and landscapes through to people and food. She studied photography at college and hopes one day find time to submit her images to the Royal Photographic Society for accreditation.

Simon’s spent many experimental hours in a homemade, traditional darkroom, and has now transferred that knowledge into the realms of digital with a critical eye.

Duncan has a long history in photography as a portrait/wedding photographer, a published author of no fewer than 13 photography books and member of Royal Photographic Society.

Running the Official Corel Painter Magazine has given April a unique insight into how digital photography is both an art form in its own right and a springboard for creating other kinds of work based on photographic references. April's always searching for the perfect high resolution, portable and feature-packed compact for both photographers and artists!

Experimenting in different areas of photography has always been a big passion of Steve’s. Currently working on improving his macro photography in both natural and studio environments, Steve is fast becoming an expert in this field.

Julie has a reputation for always having a camera to hand for those opportune moments and candid snaps, therefore she has a preference for compacts that pack a punch yet still offer creative, manual controls. She’s been reviewing cameras for around four years, putting all manner of compacts, ultrazooms and bridge models through their paces.

Russell is a technology expert, editor of Total PC Gaming and a keen amateur photographer who can build a computer from scratch with little effort, making him the perfect candidate for tackling the more innovative features present on both DSLRs and compacts.

Our lens reviewer, and technical expert, Rod is a veritable photographic encyclopaedia. His illustrious CV has seen him write for many mags, websites and journals.

Doug Harman has over 19 year's experience as a journalist, writer, photographer, and digital camera and technology tester. He has written extensively for a multitude of digital photography magazines and websites, and he's also the author of two books.

As a keen photographer for more than ten years, Matt is combining the two great loves of his life in taking photos and playing with new gadgets.

Backed with a journalism degree, Natalie has worked in the magazine industry for over five years. Since joining DP she has reviewed a plethora of cameras, gadgets and accessories, and is never afraid of telling it like it is.

Sam used to work as part of the DCE team, which fuelled his passion for photography. He loves to get his hands on the latest cameras and accessories and put them through their paces.

Having trained as a journalist and written about photography since the ‘dawn of digital’ (1998), Gavin’s career has encompassed being deputy editor and editor of more photo titles than he’d care to remember before packing his bags and going freelance in 2004.

Mark is an experienced professional photographer and website editor. He's a regular contributor to the popular UK magazine Digital Camera Essentials and attempts to post a photo every day to his personal portfolio site.

Ian Farrell is a journalist and photographer from Cambridge. He enjoys shooting street and travel photography using both digital and film cameras, and is currently developing a taste for portraiture and medium format.
