Compact in size the GE A1455 measures 0.9 inches in thickness and has been designed for those who need a fun and easy to use point and shoot camera. Although the GE A1455 is compact in size and price it still incorporates some impressive features. The 14 megapixel sensor for starters places this model way ahead of major rivals for a budget camera and the 5x optical zoom is another excellent attribute. The 2.7” LCD screen is also clear to view in a variety of lighting scenarios and the menu options are simple to navigate.
On the top panel the on/off switch, shutter release and mode dial can be found. The shutter release is a little flat and a raised button would have been preferable however this is not a major issue. Also situated on the top panel the top dial that makes it easy to access all available features including the latest panoramic mode from GE. This clever technology allows the user to make a panoramic image in a few easy steps.
One of the drawbacks to the A1455 is it takes 2 AA batteries, however a pair did last a days shoot and the convenience of being able to get AA batteries from the corner shop is handy if you are out and about. The A1455 is available in black, silver, and red.
