Visible Dust Arctic Butterfly SL700 Travel Kit and Sensor Loupe 7x

DATE REVIEWED: 12th Aug 2009

Return to Latest Accessories »

The Visible Dust Arctic Butterfly SL700 Travel Kit contains the popular Arctic Butterfly SL700, an entry-level sensor-cleaning tool which attracts dust, using one AAA battery to generate a low spinning speed. To accompany this, you also get Lens Clean solution and a Magic Cleaner, which can be used together to safely clean optical surfaces. There’s also the VDust formula, a liquid solution that will clear must water and oil stains, and finally a pack of swabs (available in three sizes, but our kit had 12 1.6x swabs). For the best results, use in conjunction with a Sensor Loupe, which helps to magnify and illuminate tiny dust particles.

Final Verdict
Sensor-cleaning is not for the faint-hearted, but if you want to do a DIY job, this is the best kit around
