Kodak Pulse Photo Frame

DATE REVIEWED: 8th Jun 2010

Return to Latest Accessories »

With so many digital photo frames on the market, Kodak needed to do something special to grab back the headlines, and that is just what it’s attempted to do with the new Pulse frame. Aimed at the Facebook generation, the Kodak offering allows users to wirelessly send, receive and display images.

Turn on the frame and the on-screen wizard takes you through the simple set up process. Once this is done, you will be able to go online to KodakPulse.co.uk and load and share images to yours and other Pulse frames, or simply pop a memory card into the back of the frame and watch your images showcased on screen.

At 7” we’ve seen plenty of bigger screens, and the resolution does seem to make the images slightly softer than we’d expected. However, the innovative touch screen means it’s easy to change the timing and style of transitions, as well as call up information about each image, download images from the card to the frame and even delete them.

Where this frame will find its fans is with the younger generation, who wish to send images direct from their mobiles or link with friends’ images via Facebook. New images appear on the frame as soon as they’re posted online!

If you want the ultimate sharing frame, then this will suit. As a straightforward digital display, it’s somewhat lacking.

Final Verdict
Innovative features and a sleek design but image quality is lacking, as is build quality
