This eight inch digital photo frame from Hannspree is designed for those who love having choice. It comes with two different coloured frames, multiple music settings, transition settings and even orientation settings. We delved further to see what this frame could offer.
The 800x480 resolution screen is framed by either a black or maroon coloured frame. Simply click the frame into place and unclip to release. The frames are plastic and have a glittery finish, which may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Unfortunately both frames have this finish, so there’s no escaping the glitter effect. The frame comes with a plastic stand which can be positioned in a portrait or landscape format, or even attach the frame onto the wall using the hook on the back.
You can use a range of storage cards including SD, SDHC, MMC, MS, xD and CF in the frame. These slot easily into the side and you can access their data via the on-screen menu. There is also the option to use images that are saved on a flash drive thanks to the USB host adapter provided in the box. You will only be able to view JPEG images, so make sure you have converted all your images if they are not already in this format.
As well as images, the frame also plays MPEG1, MPEG2 and MPEG 4 video clips, as well as MP3 music files. The music can be loaded when you create a slideshow and will run over the top of your images being displayed. The remote control, which is provided in the box controls the volume, power, image rotation and pause functions to name a few and is very responsive.
We love the ease of use of this product, plus the wealth of different slideshow settings. You can choose from no less than 17 transition effects, so you can be sure you get ultimate control over the look of your slideshow. It also comes with a built-in calendar, which you can load images into, enabling you to see a different one of your photos each month.
This is an easy to use frame with plenty of features, shame about the glittery fascia though.

Final Verdict Feature-packed and well built, but the glittery frames will not be to everybody’s taste.
