Freeloader Pro, Professional Solar Charger.

The Freeloader Pro Kit is a universal solar power charger device that will charge most appliances wherever you are in the world under the power of the sun. Whilst solar power charges are no new concept the difference between this and previous models from the same manufacturer is that the Freeloader Pro will charge most camera batteries. This is due to its unique CamCaddy that is a power cradle accessory and is compatible with digital compact cameras, DSLRs and video camera batteries by using its variable slider bar and adjustable contact pins.

It is important to remember that this charger is no quick fix and for the device to fully charge in the sun it will take 7 to 9 hours. In a country like England you could be waiting a lot longer! The Freeloader Pro can be powered from a USB connection before leaving home and to read the amount of power that is left there is a “Power Halo” button in the centre of the Solar panel so you are always in the know. To give an indication of how long the charger will last it will give a 100% full charge to a digital camera battery and if you switch to its 9.5v than it will power higher driven electronic devices including DSLR camera batteries.

At first the Freeloader Pro is confusing to use as it has many connections parts and fiddly pieces to attach. If you are a novice in the world of voltage and battery power than do your research before you leave home and remember to take the instruction leaflet with you so you can use the device to its fullest potential.

The Freeloader Pro kit is small and light and if you are the adventurous type than this equipment has been cast from a strong and durable aluminium and can be put through its paces to some degree. It is important to remember that if you are on the go and completely out of power than the best way to charge the device is to attach it to a back pack however unfortunately you will have to devise your own way to do this as the Freeloader Pro has overlooked this problem.

Final Verdict
An eco-friendly product that could prove to be very useful, as long as the sun is out!
