If you’re lucky enough to have a shiny new Canon EOS 7D, 500D or 50D, then the chances are you’re desperately trying to get to know all of its amazing features and functions. If you need a heads up on what and where they all are, not to mention how to use them, then this DVD is right up your street.

Produced by Canon, this instructional DVD is divided into four photographic genres; Landscape, Portrait, Macro and Wildlife. Each genre is tackled by a different professional photographer, appointed by Canon to discuss the benefits of the EOS system. First up is Lambro Tsiliylannis, a fashion and portrait photographer, big in the world of advertising. Next up is Paul Brehem, a Macro professional voted as one of the world’s top 50 photographers by our sister title, Digital Photographer. Your Landscape professional is Duanne Howard and Fergus Kennedy is the pro on all things wildlife.

If you refer to the insert card within the DVD case, you will find a detailed list of topics and at what time in the DVD they appear – ideal for jumping straight to the point.

The training is given in a relaxed, but informative manner and covers thing such as image composition, lens use and flash techniques as well as topics specific to the EOS cameras. Essentially the aim is to help you explore you camera to the fullest so you can use it to achieve the best shots possible.

This is certainly £20 well spent if you are an EOS user. It will give you a great head start and act as a personal training session from the comfort of your home.

Final Verdict
A must-have product for Canon EOS photographers needing a helping hand
