Made from elastomeric silicone the skin will not stretch over time, and will retain its shape and fit. The material is heat resistant withstanding temperatures of up to 240 degrees C and comes with a lifetime warranty on the durability of the silicone. We were impressed with the finish and the lightweight feel of the product but we didn’t feel it fitted our Nikon D300 as snugly as we’d expected.

The controls that are already recessed on the camera become trickier to reach and – while the protective cover for the top panel LCD is a nice idea – the curve on the left hand side that accommodates the camera’s pop-up flash distorts the display, making it difficult to read.

Otherwise, most controls and flaps remain accessible and the LCD protector is an invaluable addition, but those with smaller hands may struggle with the bulk it adds to larger cameras.

We’d suggest you give it a try if you own a smaller DSLR with a less durable body than cameras like the D300 however for the added peace of mind and life time warranty than £30 appears as a pretty good deal.

Final Verdict
Better suited to compact DSLRs that lacks durability however for piece of mind on any camera than this kit is worth it.
