Each month we investigate a particular method of shooting and explain the inner workings, from how to adjust the camera settings to the best standing positions and recommended kit from the professionals. We tackle the basics through to advanced techniques, such as using high dynamic range and burst modes.

Digital Camera Essentials readers often send in the fruits of their labours, so we’ve decided to dedicate four pages of the magazine to displaying them. From high-end amateurs shooting on £1,000+ DSLRs to those starting out with their first compact, Digital Camera Essentials doesn’t restrict submissions – all are welcome.
